Do map completion. Don't sprint from place to place for it, just use that as a goal to help guide you when you feel like you don't know what to do or where to go. Just check with the local scout to see what is in the area. And a tip - those scout spyglasses only show up in areas where you haven't seen something. I spent way more time grinding in GW2 than I did in BDO, and I felt far more powerful and rewarded for it in BDO than I ever did in GW2. BDO is a game where knowledge trumps effort, where the path of least resistance is often grinding and crafting smarter, not harder. I hope you find enjoyment in Guild Wars 2, though.

Your decisions are a lot more relevant, and there's more than just one story for each class. The game is overall very group friendly. There's no such things as kill stealing, everyone has unique loot, everything scales accordingly, and so on. It is built from the start with the multiplayer aspect in mind.

Some people say yes, some people say no. You go to character select, click "World list", select a world and click "Guest". There's a possibility that we might be able to right click a player portrait and click "Guest to their server" at some point since you can chat, guild and party cross world. You can guest to any server, EU or US. Lyfae.
Run straight ahead and up the stairs through the gate, bypassing the PvP tutorial area (30 seconds). Run through the Asuran gate at your 11 o'clock (15 seconds). Now you're in Lion's Arch. The gates you want are 1 min away. Open your map and you'll see the circle of Gates to your N-NW, Enter the appropriate Main city for your friends Race (1 min).
Class no, race yes. 3DS FC: 5043-2061-7637 / Marissa from Corellia. Animal Crossing Pocket Camp 4638 7268 023. nflchamp 10 years ago #3. If you want to start "Right at the absolute beginning of the game" together, you'll have to play the same race. Though you can hook up quickly after your first story section through Asura Gates after, like, 10
In addition to dodges a lot of classes have skills that block, invuln, evade etc or CC like blind or daze. A lot of attacks can be avoided by by simply walking out of the way! While attacking a mob you can strafe (e) to circle them. Turn off the melee assist setting to allow walking through enemy hit boxes.
I had the same trouble, and wasted a lot of time trying to figure it out only to realize that it was down for the beta weekends. Damnit! I remember there being a command (that didn't work) during BW1 in the world selection screen to "guest" next to "transfer". omlech • 9 yr. ago. Your racial stories themselves all come together around level 30. However, you can play together right now by one of you going to Lion's Arch and then taking a asuran gate (purple portal) to whatever city you want and then find the exit to the starting zone there. Your stories may differ slightly depending on the chosen order and the choices made within the order. But the branches are the same after 30. But there are more branches after that as well. When the Pale Tree asks you your greatest fear, that gives three different story branches. These play out in Chapter 7.
That only applies to hearts which is a tiny fraction of your experience. You will both get exp from participating in dynamic events, can both gather the same ore/herbs etc and will both get exp from world exploration. Also as part of a group it is easier to tag multiple mobs (getting credit for them) in larger events and thus earning more exp.
